Radio Free Brooklyn is thrilled to premiere the latest single from Bed-Stuy based outfit, Night On The Sun. The track, “Let It Die,” is their first single since their 2019 song “Play Pretend.” The just-released track builds off their already solid emotional folk-pop foundation with lyrics that reckon with the uncertain aftermath of lost love.
The sound of “Let It Die” employs sprawling instrumentation and serene guitar melodies in a moody folk style that expresses that sadness and uncertainty after a breakup. The band recently performed a stripped-down version of the track on Look At My Records! and the recorded version of the track adds some nice textures, including a haunting horn section, breezy harmonies, and lush backing vocals.
